Welcome to the Awoken Site, an all-American resource for the current awakening, from a global, intersectional perspective.
The Awoken Site is an educational resource for your benefit and, in a way, is the greeting card of the Woke Us Network. But what are we really about? We are a website based on the philosophy of intersectionality that supports a system that accounts for all areas of marginalization in society in order to create a better society that's equitable for all regardless of their backgrounds or characteristics. Woke.us.org is simply a site for people who want to learn more about a variety of issues as well as those who would like to learn more about how to make things actually happen for the sake of social change!
Woke.us.org is all about creating a world of compassion. Many people believe in the evil, the bad things in the world and that it is cruel. In fact, that is our reality, that the world is a cruel one. However, that does not give us the excuse to dismiss all humans, all people of a certain faith, all people who of a certain state, all people of a certain group as evil. Look at it this way, when you dismiss others as being the "enemy", that is where the manifestation of evil begins. The hatred of those who do not believe in the same things that you do or the hatred of those whose lifestyles, gender alignments, sexual orientations, etc. you don't understand, that sort of hatred is where the evil begins. Woke.us.org is simply about creating and fostering a society that does get angry, that does get upset, that does mourn, but does all of these things in a way that's conducive of progress without malice. At the end of the day, all we have is our love for our fellow human beings, the love we share with others, and the love we have for them. No matter what you believe, it is important for the survival of our species and its future to always working towards peace, liberty, and justice for all. Doing so with any exceptions is a perversion of the truth, of intersectionality, and of our collective future. Simply put, hate will destroy but love will build.
Woke.us.org currently focuses on intersectionality that deals with the issues of autistic and MOGAI+/queer/LGBTQIA people as well as ways to take action towards the progress of all marginalized communities. But, of course, there is much more to do!
